If you prefer to manually edit your configuration files, use the following syntax for this option:

In order to determine document titles and download success percentages, Wusage 8.0 and above will request each unique document on your web site once during analysis (or less often, if caching permits). Although these features are very useful, some documents should never be touched by the program, not even with a HEAD request (which Wusage uses to obtain the sizes of images, etc). Examples include CGI programs that send email to staff members or carry out transactions when their URLs are fetched.

The URLs Wusage Should Never Fetch ^(donottouch) option is useful to prevent Wusage from fetching certain documents, without losing the relevant features entirely.

Documents that match any of the patterns listed for the URLs Wusage Should Never Fetch ^(donottouch) option will never be fetched by the program; their titles and download success percentages will not appear in reports, but other information will still be available. Each character of the document name is matched against the pattern. An * in the pattern matches any number of characters in the document name. Patterns have additional features, including support for regular expressions; for more information about patterns, see the Patterns and Regular Expressions section.

Please Note: rewrite rules and suffixes are applied first. Patterns must be written to match what is left over after these rules have already been applied.
