The obverse is ivory with bright orange and light blue. The reverse is completely toned orange and lavender with peripheral amber and bright blue-green. This is extremely attractive as were nearly all of the coins from the Eliasberg Collection, the toning adding extra interest and value. Well-defined details save for usual slight weakness on a few hair curls, a few stars, and on the wing left of the shield.

The mintage of 1835 half dollars was slightly lower than the adjacent years with 5,352,006 coins produced from eight obverse and eight reverse dies. These dies were combined to produce 10 varieties for circulation. In addition, a Crushed Edge Letter variety is known although not listed in Overton. This final variety is not included in the Logan Collection. Among the 10 circulation strike varieties, none are considered rare or even scarce. The following lots provide 12 examples of the coinage of 1835.

Perfect dies.
