Lightly polished with reflective silver surfaces, and now with traces of iridescent toning along the borders. Very well centered on the planchet with full obverse and reverse borders. Like O-124 and O-127, this is a very rare variety that nearly qualifies as Rarity-6. Sheridan Downey once described this die marriage as a "sleeping giant," and in a later description noted that the giant had awaken. We expect this example to be hotly contested, for despite its problems which really are minor, it remains an important rarity.

Although lightly polished and probably carrying a slightly lower net grade, this remains among of the finest known examples of this die marriage. Don Parsley listed the five best coins as 50, 50, 45, 45, 40. In the JRCS Census, one AU-50 and two EF-40 grade coins were listed. Steve Herrman's auction records tell a similar story. A single amazing MS-64 example is listed, and the next best are two coins that grade EF-40.
