Cleaned and retoned "a foggy purple color" per Superior's description. Sharply struck with considerable lustre. The fields have a slightly reflective appearance. A case could be made for this being struck ever so slighlty off-center, however, we are certain the error collectors will disagree. A very faint sliver of extra metal outside the border dentils extends from 3:00 to 7:00 on the obverse and the corresponding points of the reverse.

From Superior's sale of the Pugh Collection, May 1992, Lot 1135. Earlier from Floyd Farley in 1982.
