Very light gray with peripheral iridescent toning. Very minor obverse rim bruise at 11:30. Lightly cleaned although considerable lustre remains.

Like 1820, this is a short year for the variety collector. Total mintage for the year was 1,305,797 coins. Just seven die marriages are known from six obverse and seven reverse dies. None of these are even considered Rarity-4. The Logan Collection includes just seven coins for this date, one example for each known die marriage.

The reverse is cracked from below olive leaves through tops of UNITED STATES with a die chip at left center of the first S. Cracked through tops of RICA.
