Traces of lustre remain with hints of champagne toning over pale gray surfaces. Most design elements are sharply defined.

A late intermediate die state with weakened clash marks, stars drawn to the edge, and the die crack in right obverse field sharply visible. There is no evidence of the die crack between 81 as described for O-107a. This obverse has die chips within the upper two points of star 1, and just under the upper serif of second 1 in date. There is also a small die chip joined to Liberty's nose. The reverse die chip within the right angle of N has started to "climb" up the diagonal of this letter.
