Struck 20% off-center at 1:00. A spectacular off-center example despite extensive wear. The surfaces are a blend of deep steel and very light gray. Very minor scratches and other imperfections with heavier scratches at upper left reverse. This is extremely important to the error collector.

A review of Steve Herrman's listing of error half dollars reveals only 13 off-center coins to any degree with just one example greater than 15% off-center. The Logan Collection includes 33 off-center Capped Bust half dollars, ranging from minute off-center examples up to one example that is 45% off-center.

The reverse has a die crack through STATES. Presumably, the crack at 50C described by Overton would be present had that detail not been struck "off the planchet."
