Attractive heather surfaces with hints of amber toning. Very lightly abraded. This example may be within the top dozen known for the variety. The prime state of this die variety, described by Overton as having "12 arrows" apparently does not exist.

The obverse has extremely heavy clash marks. This reverse has a very heavy die crack through the tops of MERI, faintly to C.

Purchased August 1979 at a Toledo, Ohio coin show.
