Light gray with gold and iridescent toning. Considerable lustre is visible suggesting a higher grade. Just one finer example is listed in the Dime Census.

This is the second obverse die use after JR-1 and before JR-3. The reverse was not used for any other die marriages.

Perfect obverse. The reverse has a prominent die crack from border through digit 0 to right claw and right wing. A tiny die chip is attached to top edge of the period in denomination.
