Lightly cleaned with bright silver surfaces and faint pinkish gold toning. Trivial surface marks are consistent with the overall quality. Only one finer example is listed in the Dime Census.

This is the third use of the obverse die after JR-6 and JR-7. The reverse is in its first use before 1836 JR-3 and 1837 JR-1.

Perfect obverse and reverse dies.
