Nearly full lustre with light ivory and pale gray toning. Slight weakness at central obverse and reverse. Clearly finer than any other example reported in the Dime Census. Considered a rare variety, although Rarity-4 might be more accurate. The finest seen by the Dime Book authors was just EF-45, although a few higher grade examples have been located since that time.

This is the second obverse die use between JR-6 and JR-8. The reverse is in its first use before 1836 JR-2 and 1835 JR-9.

Perfect obverse and reverse.

Previously certified MS-60 by PCGS.
