Light gray surfaces with very minor scratches. The obverse has golden brown and steel blue toning. This is one of four similar examples recorded at the top of the Dime Census. Another common variety available in all grades through Mint State.

This is the first use of either die. The obverse was later used for JR-7 while the reverse reappeared on JR-8.

Upper and lower knobs of first digit 3 are connected by a short die crack. The reverse has a very short crack from border to lowest arrowhead.

Purchased December 1979 at a Cleveland, Ohio coin show.
