The fields have deep steel and heather toning with light gray on the devices. A pleasing example of this overdate variety. Available in all grades through Mint State.

This is the second use of the obverse after JR-4 and first use of the reverse before JR-6.

The obverse has a very weak die crack from the border to star 10. Other obverse die cracks recorded in the Dime Book are not visible on this example, perhaps due to the dark toning. A small rim break joins three dentils over the cap just above star 8. The reverse appears perfect.

Purchased at the 1984 ANA Convention in Detroit, Michigan.
