Lightly cleaned with very pale gray surfaces and attractive natural iridescent toning along the borders. The 1827 JR-12 die marriage is clearly the most common among dimes of this date. Examples are available in all grades through Mint State. Despite this, only two finer examples were recorded in the Dime Census.

Only use of either die.

Perfect obverse and reverse.

Purchased at the 1986 ANA Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
