Lightly polished and retoned with "chocolate toning" as noted by Russ Logan in his annotated Dime Book. Another common variety available in all grades including Mint State. This example from the Logan Collection is clearly the finest of 22 coins recorded in the Dime Census.

Only use of the obverse die and first use of the reverse before JR-5.

Perfect obverse. The reverse has a very faint die crack through RICA to the upper arrowhead.

Purchased March 1985 at a Cleveland, Ohio coin show.
