Sharpness slightly finer with light obverse and reverse scratches. Steel gray fields with much lighter gray devices providing attractive contrast. This obverse die has all 13 stars notched or "scalloped" at their outer points. A scarce variety that is extremely difficult to locate in grades above that offered here. Only two finer coins are listed in the Dime Census.

First obverse die use with JR-6 coined later. This is the final use of the reverse die after JR-3 and JR-4.

Perfect obverse. Very light clash marks on the reverse.
