Lightly cleaned with bright silvery gray surfaces accented by peripheral amber and iridescent toning. Some lustre remains visible. This is a highly attractive example. Five die varieties are known for the 1803 silver dollar coinage (plus the restrike and one other variety that has been described in past literature but never seen). Four of the five known varieties have a small 3 in the date with this single marriage featuring a large 3 in the date.
