| Very light gray with hints of champagne toning. The very top of Liberty's cap shows evidence of localized cleaning. A very scarce variety. This obverse die was also used for 1837 B-5. The reverse die was also used for 1835 B-8, 1836 B-1, B-5, 1837 B-1 and B-3. Perfect obverse. The reverse has a light die crack through D STATE. Purchased at the 1991 ANA Convention. |
