Lightly cleaned with very light gray surfaces. This is an important design variant with double lines in the vertical shield stripes on the reverse. This die presents the only instance in the entire series with double lines. All other reverse dies have three lines in each shield stripe. The obverse was used for both 1833 B-1 and B-2 varieties. The reverse die was later used for 1834 B-1 quarters.

The obverse has very heavy die rust with clash marks at Liberty's ear.
