Cleaned with very light hairlines and artificial lilac and iridescent toning. Traces of lustre remain visible. A scarce die marriage with only two or three full Mint State examples known. This example from the Logan Collection is tied for third finest of 14 examples recorded in the Quarter Census. The obverse die was used for three different varieties, including 1818 B-6 and B-7.
