| Extremely attractive medium gray fields and lighter devices. A few very minor imperfections are visible. The fields appear to be very lightly burnished, however, this remains one of the most pleasing quarters in the present offering. A very common die marriage with several higher grade examples known. This is a combination of the overdate obverse now reworked with the overdate features no longer visible, mated with the reverse die of B-2. Clash marks are visible on both obverse and reverse. The reverse has a die crack through the lowest arrowhead and arrow shafts, in a later state than the previous lot. Purchased February 1992 from Larry Blackwelder. |
