Extreme weakness is noted through the hair curls and within the eagle details left of the shield, from neck to legs. This is characteristic of all known examples of this die marriage. Peripheral details are very sharp. Mottled golden brown and steel toning with traces of lustre present. This is the finest of 13 coins listed in the Census. A very rare die marriage that was discovered in 1975 by David J. Davis. First described in the same Coin World article as LM-2, above. This article by John W. This is the first use of obverse 3 and the second use of reverse LL.
