Logan-McCloskey Plate Coin, Page 276. Light gray with slightly reflective surfaces. Light iridescent toning is visible along the reverse periphery. Minor strike doubling is noted on the obverse. This is a rare die marriage and more difficult to locate the LM-1.2.

First use of obverse 1 and fifth use of reverse DD. Cracked between D S and along top of the scroll with other minor reverse cracks.

Another high mintage year with 1,900,000 half dimes produced from a combination of four obverse and five reverse dies. A total of seven die marriages and one remarriage were produced bearing this coinage date. The Logan Collection contained nine coins representing all eight combinations.

Purchased from Larry Blackwelder at the 1992 FUN Convention.
