Logan-McCloskey Plate Coin, Page 252. Sharply struck with satin lustre and light heather toning. A scarce variety although a number of higher grade examples are known.

This is the second use of obverse 2 and the third use of reverse Z. The obverse has a heavy die crack through star 7 into the cap. The reverse has very minor die cracks.

In his half dime supplement, Walter Breen described a new variety as Breen-6, noting that this had the obverse of V-4, perfect state with a reverse "similar to V-4." This example was reported by Breen to be unique and in the Mint Collection. No coin has since been seen matching this description.

Purchased October 1994 from Jerry Farrington.
