Logan-McCloskey Plate Coin, Page 231. Sharply struck with brilliant satiny lustre. The obverse has a planchet lamination from 9:00 up to 2:00. An extremely pleasing example. Just two finer examples are recorded in the Census. This is considered a common variety with examples known in all grades.

The first use of obverse 2 and the seventh use of reverse T. The obverse has flowlines in front of Liberty's profile with prominent clash marks. The reverse has light clash marks with die chips filling the upper loop of final S. A bulge is visible above and left of the eagle's head. This die has a light die crack through E of UNITED, crossing the scroll and eagle's head to the scroll below N.
