Logan-McCloskey Plate Coin, Page 203. A lovely Mint State example with ivory lustre and subtle gold toning. Weakly defined on the reverse left of the shield. This is the only Mint State example of this variety recorded among 18 coins listed in the Census. Authors Logan and McCloskey considered this a scarce die marriage, however, noted that several high-grade examples are known.

Previously certified MS-62 by NGC.

First use of obverse 2 and eighth use of reverse M. The obverse has as very weak die crack vertically across Liberty's cheek. Late state of the reverse with a die crack joining the tops of MER.
