Logan-McCloskey Plate Coin, Page 175. Light lilac toning on the obverse with brilliant reverse. The surfaces have satiny lustre with slightly reflective fields. Only two finer examples are recorded in the Census among 17 coins in all grades, however, authors Logan and McCloskey reported many high-grade examples had been seen.

Second use of obverse 2 and now the sixth use of reverse J. The obverse has a prominent crack through star 1 and another crack on the cheek, from hair curls behind the eye, through the curl left of Liberty's ear, down to the lower curl and drapery. The reverse has die chips within N and M, and in the upper loop of final S. Light clash marks are visible in the fields.
