The rim has a minor planchet clip at 9:30. Mostly brilliant satiny lustre with lovely blue, gold, and lilac toning. Weakly struck at the centers, especially evident on the reverse. Only one finer example is recorded in the Half Dime Census. This is a scarce die marriage and is difficult to locate in higher grades.

Previously certified AU-55 by ANACS.

This is the second use of obverse 1 and the third use of reverse H. The obverse has a nearly vertical die crack from the border through cap to Y, continuing through the curls to the drapery. Several peripheral die cracks are noted through various stars. The reverse is lightly cracked through the right claw, with small die chips in N and M.

Purchased March 2000 on Ebay.
