A rare die marriage with most examples well circulated. John McCloskey discovered this combination in 1975 with a description included in David Davis' presentation on new die marriages included in the 1986 ANS Coinage of the Americas Conference reference. Only two finer examples were reported among 14 listed in the Census. This is the third use of obverse 4 and the second use of reverse F. Cracked from I across hair curls and face to neck and drapery. Very faintly cracked through stars 3 and 4 and from star 4 to rim. The reverse has a tiny die chip in the left angle of N and light clash marks.
