Logan-McCloskey Plate Coin, Page 154. Very sharply struck and attractive. Satiny lustre with gold, blue, and iridescent toning. A rare die marriage with most known examples in lower grades through Extremely Fine. Just 15 examples were recorded in the Census with this the finest reported. This may be the finest existing example of the die marriage.

Previously certified MS-62 by PCGS.

This is the final use of the obverse die although no die cracks are evident on this example. The reverse is perfect with this variety representing the first use.

Acquired October 1997 from Stephen Crain in trade for an 1830 LM-10.
