Logan-McCloskey Plate Coin, Pages 138 and 144. Sharply struck with strong central and peripheral details. Reflective light gray surfaces. The upper obverse rim has minor file marks. A very light scratch through CA has the appearance of a die crack. A common variety available in all grades, including Proof. Tied for sixth finest of 22 examples recorded in the JRCS Half Dime Census.

This is the first use of obverse 3 and the only use of reverse C. The obverse die was later used with LM-4 and LM-9.

This die marriage represents the third and final appearance of the “three pale gules” reverse design.
