    Actually Carvairs were modded DC-4/C-54 frames produced by Aviation Traders Ltd, Southend, U.K., hence the designation ATL-98 Carvair

    I have actually skydived from one of these - I believe the first time they have been used as jumpships, at the 2005 world freefall convention, if memory serves me. Awesome jump...but the engines leak oil, and you get coated in a fine mist of it on the way out the side doors.
