    this is very definately a lincon.the fore runners were the manchester,lancaster and then the lincoln and these were replaced by the shackleton

    the lincolns were destined to fly to the far east after the surrender of germany to carry on the war against japan but only a few ever got there and were used in the maritime role mainly,this role was then taken over by the shackleton

    the lincolns were used in a small way in the development of the engines for the v bomber the avro vulcan..my dad was a manchester pilot then lancasters and then a lincoln pilot
