A book club for babies, with books designed especially for little hands and drooling mouths!  I know you'll want these to be clean, so these are all new books, even though some are classics written almost fifty years ago.
 

Blue Hat, Green Hat  by Sandra Boyton A charming, contagious read-along book.  My goddaughter was "reading" this at 20 months old, so you know it's gotta be good!	Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown Illustrated by Clement Hurd A true classic.  Finally available as a board book for the very young to paw, which was too radical a concept in the 1940's.
Ollie All Over by Denis Roche A wonderful book of lost and being found. Bright illustrations of even brighter backgrounds for clever little eyes to decipher.  Maybe I'm partial: a high school friend of mine wrote this!	Bently and Egg by William Joyce Who can resist Joyce's imaginative mix of realism and magic? The world he creates is unique and unforgettable.
Pat the Bunny by Dorothy Kunhardt This is the original touch-and-feel book, and a major contribution to children's developmental literature.  Still in print, after all these years.	Clap Hands by Helen Oxenbury Oxenbury's simple illustrations are very accessible to babies, and her multi-cultural illustrations help children learn to accept all races as equals.
Counting Cows by Woody Jackson The Ben & Jerry's illustrator tries his hand at children's books with fantastic results: not only are his boldly colored illustrations captivating, but his sense of humor is right-on.	The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle A classic of  children's literature.  A lesson in counting, fruits, and metamorphosis all at once.  And who can resist the collage-made pictures?
Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney illustrated by Anita Jeram Just what every child needs to know, told lovingly, convincingly, with great  illustrations and humor.	Max's Bedtime by Rosemary Wells Simple illustrations with wit and charm both entertain and help set the mood for you-know-what.  Is it that time already?
Black on White by Tana Hoban No words, but with images this stark, who can resist? I've known infants to stare at these pictures for hours.	The Carrot Seed by Ruth Krauss illustrated by Crockett Johnson Sometimes, with a little patience and lots of hope, something little can grow into something very big indeed.
Where's Spot? by Eric Hill Simple illustrations and playful tone make these Spot books favorites with little tykes.  Many also feature lift-the-flaps to make them more interactive and fun.	Sheep in a Jeep by Nancy Shaw An excellent rhyming book with the world's cutest, most mischievous sheep.  Guaranteed for a giggle.
